ZHECT has completed many consultancy projects for the likes of the : World Bank The World Bank under the Water and Sanitation program is supporting infrastructure development for water utility companies in 12 countries. In relation to this it is also supporting the development of Human Resource Strategies for the same companies. As a result, HIV/AIDS became the major factor to consider. Baseline information in relation to Knowledge Attitude and Practices (KAP) related to HIV/AIDS was needed in order to help design focused HIV/AIDS workplace programs. Having done the same work at Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company on behalf of the World Bank before, ZHECT was contracted to carry out a comparative HIV/AIDS KAP study targeting employees and their spouses in three countries; Zambia (Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company), Malawi (Lilongwe Water Board) and Kenya (Nairobi Water and Sewerage Company). The study involved administering a questionnaire and conducting focus group discussions among employees and their spouses in each of the three companies. The produced report was subjected to a series of reviews by the World Bank as per standard before finalizing it. The findings of the study were then disseminated in all the countries which participated in the study. As a follow-on, ZHECT also helped in the formulation and revision of the HIV/AIDS policies in all the three water utility companies. The results of the individual organizational studies were used to inform policy development. Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) FAWE is a pan-African Non-Governmental Organisation working in 32 African countries to empower girls and women through gender-responsive education.
