Leah Chatta's Bio
Leah Chatta is an educator, gender and policy development expert with extensive international experience in organizational development and women’s empowerment. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Zambia, Masters Degree in Communication Skills from Aston University, United Kingdom and a certificate in Gender and Development. I have attended courses in gender mainstreaming, monitoring and evaluation, institutional management, marketing and project management.
I possess over 20 years working experience in the development sector at national, sub regional and African regional levels. I have extensive capacity building experience, women’s leadership training, research, development of performance management indicators, project management expertise as well as organizational management skills.
I possess monitoring and evaluation skills and oral and written communication skills. My work experience includes Chief Executive Officer with non-governmental organizations: the Zambia Association for Research and Development (ZARD) and Akina Mama wa Afrika (AMwA), Kampala, Uganda, Deputy Program Manager Women in Development in Southern Africa, Zimbabwe, Coordinator SADC Elections Support Network, South Africa, Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Open Society Initiative for Southern Africa, South Africa.
